Chain-Link Fence Installation — Residential, Commercial & Security

Chain-link is the most cost-effective fence per linear foot — and when properly installed with the right gauge mesh, galvanized fittings, and concrete-set posts, it lasts decades. We install residential, commercial, sports, and high-security chain-link across Martin and Palm Beach Counties.

Why Homeowners and Businesses Choose Our Chain-Link Fencing

Every installation is engineered for South Florida's salt air, hurricane wind loads, and brutal UV — not just thrown together with whatever the supplier had on the truck.

Lowest Cost per Foot

Chain-link is typically 30–50% less per linear foot than aluminum or vinyl, making it the right call for large perimeters where appearance matters less than coverage.

Galvanized or Vinyl-Coated

Standard hot-dip galvanized for industrial look, or black/green PVC-coated mesh for residential applications where appearance matters.

Pet-Safe Containment

Tight mesh openings keep small dogs in and most wildlife out. We can spec smaller-than-standard mesh for puppy applications.

High Security Options

Available with barbed-wire toppers, razor-ribbon, anti-climb mesh patterns, and tension-wire reinforcement for commercial sites.

Quick Install

Chain-link installs faster than most fence types — a typical 200′ residential job is done in a single day after concrete sets.

Industrial & Code Tested

Specified to ASTM A392 and F668 standards for residential and commercial. We install to FL Building Code wind load requirements.

Materials, Colors & Specifications

We only install fencing built to last in Florida — marine-grade hardware, hurricane-rated assemblies, and powder-coat finishes that don't chalk out in three summers.

Mesh Gauge

Residential standard is 11.5 or 11 gauge; commercial is 9 gauge; high-security is 6 gauge. Heavier gauge = stronger and more vandal-resistant.

Posts & Rails

Schedule 40 galvanized steel posts (Class 1 coating minimum). Top rails on residential, top and bottom rails plus tension wire on commercial.

Coating Options

Hot-dip galvanized (silver) or PVC-coated (black, green, brown) bonded to the wire. Coated chain-link looks cleaner and lasts longer near salt.

Concrete-Set Posts

Terminal posts (corners, ends, gates) get 12″×36″ concrete footings. Line posts get 8″×36″. We don’t drive chain-link posts — they all get concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does chain-link fence last in Florida?+

Galvanized chain-link with concrete-set posts typically lasts 20–30 years inland. Coastal exposure shortens galvanized life — we recommend PVC-coated mesh and galvanized fittings within a few miles of saltwater.

Is black chain-link more expensive than silver?+

Slightly — typically 15–25% more per linear foot for vinyl-coated black. Many homeowners feel the look is worth it because the fence visually recedes into the landscaping.

Can you install chain-link with privacy slats?+

Yes — we install PVC privacy slats in vertical or angled patterns. They knock the visual transparency from about 90% open to 75–85% covered. Note that slats also significantly increase wind load on the fence.

How much does chain-link fence cost?+

Most residential 4–6′ galvanized projects run $18–$35 per linear foot installed. Vinyl-coated black and heavier commercial gauge run higher. Try our live cost estimator for an instant quote.

Do I need a permit for chain-link?+

Yes — same as any other fence in Martin or Palm Beach County. We pull the permit.

Can chain-link be used for pool fencing?+

Florida pool code requires picket spacing tight enough that a 4″ sphere cannot pass — standard chain-link mesh exceeds this. Chain-link is not the right material for primary pool barriers; aluminum, PVC, or vinyl are the standard choices.
