What is a Lot Plan / Property Survey?
A lot plan (also called a property survey or plat) is a document from your closing paperwork that shows your property boundaries, dimensions, setbacks, and easements. Most homeowners receive one when they buy their home. If you don't have yours, your county property appraiser's office or title company can provide a copy.
